For all inquires regarding hatching eggs, chicks or raised birds- please reach out via Email  at hdhatchery@gmail.com or FB Messenger. Please include your address in the email/message if you are interested in shipping. We do our best to respond as quickly as possible, typically within 2-3 days. We post available birds and hatching eggs on our Facebook on a FCFS basis. Make sure you're following us as our birds tend to sell quickly! We no longer maintain wait lists or accept pre-orders.

Fertile hatching eggs are available for local pickup or they can be shipped via UPS or USPS, whichever is preferred by the customer. We encourage using UPS. Hatching eggs are available by the dozen and are FCFS. We will calculate the shipping cost and send the total amount due. We accept payment through Venmo. A shipping label will be printed after payment is confirmed and tracking info will be sent shortly after. 

All hatching eggs are securely packed inside a medium sized box with a foam shipper insert and then double boxed inside a larger box with additional packing material to cushion the eggs. If requested, your package will be marked 'Hold for Pickup' with your phone number, your local office will call you when they arrive! Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee hatch rates with shipped eggs. We typically expect to see a 30-50% hatch rate for shipped eggs, sometimes higher when lucky. Hatching eggs can be a gamble. It is completely out of our control how the eggs will be treated once the box leaves our hands. In the event your package arrives damaged or broken, take photo's immediately to file a claim with USPS for compensation. Due to many factors outside of our control, we do not guarantee hatch rates. Buyer assumes and agrees to all risks associated with shipping hatching eggs. We take extra time to candle every hatching egg for any minor cracks/abnormalities and store them in a climate controlled cabinet with ideal humidity so eggs won't 'dry out' in storage. We will not ship eggs over 4 days old. After 7 days, hatching egg viability begins to decline. We'll send your tracking number shortly after we drop your package off. 

Day old chicks are available for local pickup only. We require 4 chicks minimum for travel & brooding. Typically our hatching season begins in late February/March when our production picks back up, weather permitting, and runs through October-November. We make sure to set eggs for weekly hatches throughout the season. We have the ability to hatch 60-90 chicks weekly. Due to many factors outside of our control, we cannot/will not offer any guarantees for day old chicks. We ensure chicks leave the farm healthy, however due to day old chicks sensitive nature, we will not guarantee their health once they leave our care. Buyer assumes all responsibilities for chicks at sale.

We occasionally have raised pullets & cockerels available. We offer local pickup and shipping. (Please anticipate shipping costs to be quite pricey for adult/started birds. The shipping container is $25 and the cost for USPS Priority Mail Express shipping ranges anywhere from $100-$195. USPS will insure the delivery and provide updated tracking info), plus the cost of the individual bird. Our price for raised juveniles and adults varies on the age/breed of the individual bird.
