Hello from Oregon! We are a small sister owned & operated poultry hatchery located outside beautiful Vale, OR. Our itty-bitty rural town has around 2k residents, zero stoplights, terrible internet/phone service and annual Rodeo's! Our family has been raising chickens for 10+ years here in Eastern Oregon's High Desert climate. With triple digit summers and below freezing winters, we prioritize raising healthy, docile birds that will thrive out here in the modern day old west.

Back in 2019 we officially started building up our breeding flocks to help preserve heritage poultry varieties. We are current members of the APA, The Marans Club & The Ameraucana Alliance. The breeding flocks we have today are the result of years dedicated to sourcing quality stock from reputable breeders around the country. We raise LF Wheaten Marans, Blue Wheaten/Wheaten Ameraucana, Critically Endangered Barred Hollands, BBS Copper Marans and we offer our very own High Desert Olive Eggers!

Did you know there are less than 500 Barred Hollands alive in the US today? The current numbers for this American breed are critically low! We are actively working to help restore the Barred Holland population in the US and raise more awareness about their endangered status. Our line originated from a local poultry fancier who surprised judges at show with this rare breed. We have been working with our Hollands since 2022.

We are proud to offer our birds to the public. Our goal is to preserve heritage poultry breeds, prioritizing the standard while promoting conservation in the poultry community. We hope to encourage youth and others around us to continue preserving poultry for future generations to enjoy. We appreciate your support! Our mission is to provide High-Quality, healthy chickens for our family and customers. We take pride in our breeding practices and guarantee that our chickens are well-cared for throughout their life. We give our chicks the best head start possible by ensuring our breeding flocks are in prime condition. We prefer Herbal and Natural Remedies for our flocks health whenever possible. We avoid using pesticides or harsh chemicals on or around our flocks. All of our birds are fed a custom formulated diet rich in essential vitamins/nutrients.

We prioritize Health and Heritage in every hatch, blending traditional techniques with modern biosecurity.
All of our birds are hand-raised for proper docile temperament
Our birds are Steroid and Vaccine free
Biosecurity to prevent the introduction of infectious disease is our #1 priority on the farm
We maintain ethical and organic feed practices
We use safe, Professional Hatching & Brooding Equipment for our peace of mind, eliminating unnecessary fire risks

High Quality Bloodlines

We offer a variety of LF heritage breeds, all selectively bred towards the APA Standard- including Critically Endangered Barred Hollands, Wheaten Marans, Wheaten & Blue Wheaten Ameraucana's and Blue/Black/Splash Copper Marans. We have been working with our breeding flocks since 2019-2022. Our breeding program's foundational stock was sourced from reputable breeders across the nation. We have established our current breeding flocks through years of selective breeding within High Quality Bloodlines.

We Maintain Accurate Pedigrees for our Breeding Flocks
Our Primary Focus is Heritage Poultry Preservation. We hatch in small numbers throughout the year and offer limited birds when available
We maintain multiple manageable breeder flocks covered by a single rooster to record pedigrees for future breeding, the way Grandpa taught us
