At High Desert Hatchery we know the importance of pure bloodlines and accurate pedigrees.
While we do offer a small variety of fun hybrids and projects, our priority is keeping purebred heritage poultry breeds, all selectively bred towards the APA Standard of Perfection for future generations to enjoy.
Keep Quality Stock!
We were shocked by the lack of show quality birds in the Treasure Valley and Eastern Oregon, so we acquired our lines from fellow poultry breeders across the country to build the breeding flocks we have today. We are proud to offer new bloodlines locally, free of major disqualifications we found flooding the local market. We are strictly breeding away from unhealthy 'bad' genetics.
Keep Healthy Birds!
We give our chicks the best headstart possible by ensuring our breeding flocks are all in prime condition. Our birds are fed custom formulated feed, which is designed to provide laying hens the extra vitamins and nutrients they require for healthy egg production.
We practice strict Bio-Security measures and do not allow visitors inside of our flocks fencing to stop any cross contamination of viral diseases.
Now proudly located just outside of Vale, OR.
Last month in January, we closed on our new
family home! Since then, we've moved our farm to the small rural town of Vale here in Eastern Oregon.
We are conveniently located 2 miles outside of Vale.
